Founded by The Food People Inc. (TFPI) in 1997, Fruits in Ice-Cream began producing ice-cream for the sole purpose of exportation as it observed the growing market for ice-cream flavors, specifically in the Asia and Pacific area. In Japan, the ice-cream industry mostly sold the basic flavours: chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. TFPI saw the window of opportunity in the potential market to provide more tropical and niche flavours. With their previous experience in the international market, TFPI took the opportunity and was able to navigate international waters and the demands of exportation. Soon, FIC was exporting delicious ice-cream to other countries, starting with the US, followed soon by Macau, Singapore, Canada, Australia, China, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, and Brunei. With the need to satisfy the strict requirements and regulations imposed by export markets, as well as the need to stick with their core value of producing ice-cream of consistent and high quality, FIC has grown to be an ice-cream superpower in the Philippines. It’s established its identity as a stand-out ice-cream brand, satisfying the sweet tooth of people from all over the Philippines and the rest of the globe.
As of 1997, FIC has been bringing uncompromising quality, and irresistibly and unforgettably exceptional flavours. Today, FIC works with only carefully selected, premium quality dairy and tropical fruit ingredients. In contrast to other ice-cream brands that use vegetable fats and non-dairy substitutes, only the best milk ingredients sourced from New Zealand and Australia are used.
